{"id":157,"date":"2011-01-17T06:20:14","date_gmt":"2011-01-17T06:20:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ilovenatto.com\/blog\/?p=157"},"modified":"2014-11-24T19:12:50","modified_gmt":"2014-11-24T19:12:50","slug":"natto-kimchi-uber-food","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ilovenatto.com\/blog\/2011\/01\/natto-kimchi-uber-food\/","title":{"rendered":"Natto + Kimchi = Uber Food"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prep time: 5 mins to prep and set overnight<\/p>\n<p>Servings: 1<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_159\" style=\"width: 410px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ilovenatto.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/natto_and_kimchi.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-159\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-159 \" title=\"natto_kimchi\" alt=\"Natto and kimchi over fresh tofu\" src=\"http:\/\/ilovenatto.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/natto_and_kimchi.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ilovenatto.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/natto_and_kimchi.jpg 400w, https:\/\/ilovenatto.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/natto_and_kimchi-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-159\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Natto marinated in kimchi over fresh tofu<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This is a really simple way of preparing natto.\u00a0 The combination of natto and kimchi make for a delicious and extremely healthy snack or side dish.\u00a0 Kimchi is a traditional Korean dish and made up of several kinds of fermented vegetables.\u00a0 It is a good source of fiber and vitamin C and is high in vitamins A, B1, B2, calcium, iron, and several lactic acid bacteria.\u00a0 It was only a matter of time before natto and kimchi combined forces to create an uber nutritious and delisious dish.<\/p>\n<p>Where can I find kimchi?\u00a0 You can find kimchi at most asian super markets and many larger super markets like Ralphs.\u00a0 However, there are several different kinds of kimchi and all are not made equal.\u00a0 I recommend buying it from a Korean super market if you have the choice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>1\/2 cup Kimchi<\/li>\n<li>1 Packet of natto<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cut up the kimchi into small bits and place on a plate.<\/li>\n<li>Mix in the natto.<\/li>\n<li>After mixing it, saran wrap it and stick it in the fridge for 6-8 hours.\u00a0 You can stick it over night or stick it in in the morning and have it later in the day.<\/li>\n<li>After the natto has had the chance to soak up the kimchi flavor, its ready to eat.\u00a0 Eat if over fresh rice or tofu or whatever you desire.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This is one of my favorite natto side dishes!\u00a0 Definitely try it out and let me know what you think!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Natto marinated in kimchi over fresh tofu or rice.
