About
Welcom to iLoveNatto.com! A site for all the different kinds of ways to eat and prepare natto!
The first time I tried natto, like most people, I didn’t find it to be the best tasting food in the world, but I ate it anyway because my mom told me to and because it was good for you, (kind of like milk).
I didn’t start actually liking natto until I got to college, where I was broke, malnourished, and busy with class and club activities. One day on a trip to the Japanese super market, Mitsuwa, I saw how cheap natto was. Realizing that it was cheap, nutritious, and easy to prepare, I stocked up. And went back the following week to stock up even more. I eventually came to love the stuff and started offering it to all of my dorm-mates, (who thought I was crazy).
But anyway, I eventually found some friends who also enjoyed eating natto and found that there were countless ways to eat it. I started this site to share recipes, interesting articles and have you share your favorite way of eating natto as well.
A Little About Myself:
My name is Koji and I am an athlete, mechanical engineer, and a fan of Japanese culture and food. During college, I studied abroad in Tokyo, Japan. It was there that I fell in love with its culture and food and ever since, I have been experimenting with all different kinds of Japanese recipes including natto dishes. Natto is extremely popular in Japan but not so well know in other countries so I started this site to share delicious recipes with my friends, family and all else who enjoy eating natto.
